But people usually wait for the other one to take the first step rather than doing it themselves. The following woman, however, did take the first step and it urged other people to do the same.
Now, we are aware that big companies like to increase their prices on essential products. Because at the end of the day we have to buy them; like tampons and other hygiene products.
One woman was not going to stand for it. She was at the airport when she needed a tampon, so she naturally went to the vending machine. However, they were not working so she had to buy the full box which was $15.
Now that may not sound like much to many of us, but not everyone wants to spend that much for an essential. So this anonymous woman left the full box in the bathroom with an angry note.
None of the tampon vending machines work in this area so I was forced to buy this, the note read. $15 box from Relay. Not acceptable!
Please take one if you need one.
Lady bro in the bathroom of the Calgary Airport! I appreciate you!
Surprisingly enough, The Airport staff read the post and decided to do something about it. So they replied to Carlee.
Our maintenance team has checked and filled all vending machines in the washrooms, and our retailer Relay has adjusted the price of tampons to $6.25, effective immediately.
Fifty per cent of the population needs these things and she helped make a difference that day. Thank you. From woman to woman, you’re fantastic.
