20+ Hilarious Tweets About Game Of Thrones Season 7 From Ed Sheeran’s Cameo To Euron Greyjoy’s Epic Makeover

Spoiler Alert

Ed Sheeran made an appearance in the premiere of HBO’s hit series, Game of Thrones. And even though it’s not too much of a spoiler since every GoT fan knew it was going to happen from back when the announcement happened at SXSW. Hell, Spoiler Accounts spilled the beans way back in March.

Nevertheless, for many, it was surprising and blatant

So now that the directors had a two-time Grammy award winner, how did they decide to seamlessly integrate him into such a prestigious show? They had him sing. Arya even complimented him on it, to which Sheeran jokingly replied, “It’s new.”

The song is taken directly from the books

Initially written by Symon Silver Tongue to blackmail Tyrion Lannister, is as follows:

He rode through the streets of the city,
down from his hill on high, O’er the wynds and the steps and the cobbles,
he rode to a woman’s sigh.
For she was his secret treasure,
she was his shame and his bliss.
And a chain and a keep are nothing,
compared to a woman’s kiss

For hands of gold are always cold, but a woman’s hands are warm…

It was about his affair with Shae that he was desperate to hide from Cersei, and Tyrion even repeated the words when he “dealt” with the situation

And since we’re well beyond Tyrion’s King Landing plot line, it can’t apply to him anymore.

But it can still apply to another Lannister with a gold hand a love affair

Nevertheless, the fans had a whole bunch to say

It was the subtlety and grace that they really loved

And some people just went one step ahead and they are damn Hilarious

What do you think?

Was the cameo funny, tasteless, or just plain inappropriate? I, for one, feel like it isn’t on par with Game Of Thrones entire atmosphere, but I’m not gonna complain about Sheeran screen time.
