Restaurant Hangs A Bold Sign Outside Their Door That Has Everyone Fuming

The restaurant in Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Southern California posted a controversial sign near its front door.

Nonetheless, soon after the sign went up, the restaurant became the talk of the town.

The discriminatory policy enacted by the eatery was to protect its diners and staff from harm.

Even though several diners felt that the policy served them well, for some it sent an unfriendly message.

The sign posted by the Old Fisherman’s Grotto spread like wildfire!

The anti-children banner sent a very explicit message. You may notice a similar sign pop up at your favorite restaurant, if you have children.

The tiny, square footage of the restaurant necessitated the need for an anti-loud noises policy.

According to the sign near the front door, the restaurant banned loud behavior. The reason being, the tiny interior of the restaurant.

For liability reasons, the restaurant banned strollers and boosters.

Some people might call it cozy and romantic. But, the tiny, square footage of the eatery required table to be placed very close together. Moreover, the placement of the tables made it difficult for the wait staff to safely maneuver around the restaurant’s tight spaces. Therefore, to prevent their employees and guests from falling, the restaurant put a ban on strollers and boosters.

However, as expected, not everyone is happy about the restaurant’s policy.

Tourist Teresa Colombani thinks the policy is absolutely ridiculous,

“I think kids need to know how to behave in restaurants, and if you, don’t take them to them, they don’t know how to behave and they shouldn’t be kept hidden away, so I think it’s ridiculous. Kids should be allowed in restaurants.”

Here’s how another customer, Nicki Riviere reviewed the ban,

“Usually they cater, at least have a high chair for the child, but it seemed like they didn’t want any child. They said the child can’t make any noises so they turned us away.”

However, negative opinions aside, owner of the restaurant says the business couldn’t be better.

Adults who prefer a quiet dining experience happily flock to the restaurant’s establishment. Chris, the owner of the restaurant says that there was a spike in the number of guests after the ban went into effect.
