You Will Never Dare To Walk Barefoot On Beach After Seeing What Happened To This Couple

Nowhere is safe!

Valentine’s day is near, and I know that we all would like to spend it with our significant other on a nice holiday. Maybe a romantic beach date right? Well, I am sorry to burst your bubble, but the beach is out of the question.

Now I would tell you why but I am required to first give a warning about how disgusting the pictures and the description in this post is going to be. Okay so as we are done with the warning, it’s time to get on with the nitty-gritty.

You see a woman named Katie Stephens and her boyfriend were recently vacationing in Punta Cana, Mexico and having a blast. But that all simmered down when they returned and discovered they had horribly itchy feet.

What was the reason behind their itchy feet? Well, let’s just read it in their own words.

To anybody traveling somewhere tropical, please be careful when in the sand and wear shoes!

My boyfriend and I recently got back from Punta Cana to discover that we both have larva migrans, in other terms worms in our feet.

Yes, you read that right.

There is more:

If your feet become incredibly itchy please get it checked out right away since we simply thought it was just bug bites and it became worse as each day passed.

The resort we stayed at was IFA villas bavaro resort and spa. Also, this injury has nothing to do with coverage or travel insurance. I was back in my home country when I was first treated and don’t need travel coverage for what I have.
Also, to top it off health Canada denied our request to receive the medicine. (ivermectin) We needed it to treat our infection and were forced to get medicine from the states.

Thank you Canada for your lovely health care you provide for us!

They were ‘kind’ enough to attach some pictures.

I am truly sorry that you had to see that, but nothing can sate our morbid curiosity can it? So what did we learn from this post? Probably to never go to a beach barefoot. But then again, who said life was gonna be easy?
