Mother-In-Law Bribed This Girl For Leaving Her Son Alone But Her Plan Backfired

Some mothers-in-law can be pure evil.

I don’t get why some mothers have to act so pettily when it comes to getting along with their son’s girlfriend. They just want someone perfect for their angel sons. They probably won’t compromise when it comes to looks, humour, or wit. As far as I’ve seen, mothers-in-law would go to any extent to get rid of a girl they don’t like for their sons. It’s sad, honestly. If your son is happy with the girl, you should be happy too.

While it is understandable that some parents want the best for their children, they should still leave some decisions to be made by their children themselves. If your son likes a girl who is not up to your standards, let him be. It’s his choice and his happiness. Trust his judgement. Besides, it is your son who has to spend the rest of his life with the girl, not you. So, let him do what he thinks is best for him.

However, some moms don’t respect privacy. They will go to any extent to get rid of an unwanted daughter-in-law. This Redditor shared the story of a nurse who’s mother-in-law really wanted to get rid of her. But she played better than the MIL and had a happy ending. Read the story below:

The story is about a very sweet nurse. She seems highly educated.

The mother-in-law is super mean and constantly tries to break the couple up.

Finally, as a last resort, she ends up offering the nurse $10,000 to leave her son.

The nurse is a smart lady, so she accepts the money but doesn’t leave the son. The MIL can’t do anything about it.

They have been happily married now for 30 years. The husband has no idea about this incident.

Parents should let their children be. If their child is happy with someone, they should trust their judgement and let them enjoy life. Nothing should mean more to a parent than their offspring’s happiness. Their wellbeing is co-related to their happiness. Be a good parent and support their decisions.

This is what people had to say about the whole incident:

Seriously, do people like this even exist?

That is just pure evil.

Imagine being offered that much money, accepting it, and not even doing the job!

This is movie material.

It still makes the MIL look bad for giving the money, though.

This is the best response to a question like that.

What did you think of this hilarious story? How would you have reacted if you were in the nurse’s place? Would you have accepted the money or not? Let us know in the comments below!
