Guy Explains In Detail Why Jenny From Forrest Gump Is The Most Misunderstood Character & You Can’t Argue

We all know Jenny from Forrest Gump. However, if you’ve been living in a cave all your life and just crawled out of it, we’ll give you a little run down on who Jenny is. Forrest Gump is an American romantic drama film. The story of this film revolves around the several decades of the life of a prodigious and kind-hearted man from Alabama. Jenny is Gump’s childhood friend and love interest.

However, Jenny’s character in the film is that of a misunderstood hero.

Jenny has been getting a lot of flak from people for no apparent reasons. Jenny didn’t ever for once think of herself as being in love. She thought she was taking advantage of him the same way her father molested her.

However, Jenny didn’t think way at the start.

As a kid, she thought he was different. Moreover, she was only grateful for the companionship she shared with Gump in the form of a beautiful friendship. However, things changed as she grew older.

For Jenny, none of this was real.

Jenny shuts off her feelings for Forrest because she thinks of it as molesting him. And if the genders were reversed, it would undoubtedly fall under the umbrella of rape. She felt twisted, for she knew she had turned into her father. A father she despised all her life.

It was in that moment she knew that it was time for her to give in finally.

She distances herself from all the drama and decides to run away with her child. She had grown to care about Forrest so much, that she could never even imagine wronging him.

It was love and selflessness that drove her away.
