I mean while everyone have their own views on literally everything. It is unequivocally and morally wrong. No, there are absolutely no ‘advantages’ or pros of slavery. So it comes as a big surprise when a teacher asked a 4th grader to list just that.
Jerome is actually the son of Trameka Brown-Berry who was given a perplexing work assignment. You see he was asked to give three “good” reasons for slavery and three bad ones.
Does anyone else find my 4th grader's homework offensive?😡

Now, I don’t know about you but I have no doubt that there are any remotely ‘good’ reasons for slavery. His mother certainly had something to say about it.
It was the fact that she wanted my African-American son to name three good things for slavery. That’s insulting.

We understand that, as presented, the words used showed a lack of sensitivity and were offensive.
The purpose of the assignment was not, in any way, to have students argue that ANY slavery is acceptable — a concept that goes against our core values and beliefs about the equality and worth of people of all races.
I am proud to be black because we are strong and brave.
