Gillette’s New Ad About Toxic Masculinity Is Breaking The Internet But Not Everyone Is Happy

‘Boys will be boys’.

I have no idea how and when this saying even started, but I have heard people say this since I could actually understand what was going on around me. If I did something wrong, I would be held accountable for it, but if a boy did it, there is nothing wrong with that, right?

After all, boys will be boys. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that every guy is like this or every family raises their kids like this, but it rings quite true especially in eastern countries. So I am glad that Gillette has decided to talk about this.

I am not proud to say this, but I did cry a little bit. However, as you may already know, it is the internet, so ofcourse there were gonna be some warying opinions.

This is the ad that is making waves throughout the Internet.

People had a lot to say about this ad too.

Many people are supporting the ad.

And love the meaning their tagline holds today.

Take notes indeed.

However, there were many who did not like the new ad.

And couldn’t understand the stance Gillette was trying to take.

That is true that not all men are like this, but Gillette never said that everyone is the same.

Then again, everyone has their own opinion.

Very true.

Don’t worry, I can relate.

They never said men are horrible though?

Well done indeed!

You can’t win everyone.

There is nothing wrong with being masculine but nothing wrong with going the other way too.

And change is required!

Not only men, many women can instill better core values in their kids too.

Thank you.
