A Guy Posted Dumb Tweet About Muslim Women Buying Lingerie, Twitter Shut Him Up Savagely.

Twitter has made people feel obligated to give their opinions on things that do not concern them.

And that’s not always a bad thing, since J.K. Rowling is renowned for being witty. But it does mean that ignorant idiots show up saying they’re better for some reason. On the plus side, it doesn’t take too long for Twitter to set them straight. This happened with one Michael Kane, a reporter.

He saw two women, dressed in hijab, walk out of Victoria’s Secret. And commented as such:

I’m just a reporter: saw two modestly-dressed women with religious headgear come out of Victoria’s Secret store in the Eaton Centre

I’m just a reporter: there’s no way he’s going to get out of it.

So, of course, people set him straight

It’s almost like Muslims… Are human… Too.

I’m just a reporter: turns out Muslim women are women.

Consensual transaction vs. someone ogling them from afar?

It’s… Peculiar.

Apparently, you’re not allowed to wear underwear. Or something.

Source check.

And makeup and *gasp* shoes.

He also pissed off Genevieve Valentine

He did try to defend himself and say he was appreciating diversity.

But then his account was somehow deleted anyway. Poor chum.

I’m just a reporter: the bright side of all this is we got a meme.

I’m just a reporter: saw some guy getting told and I don’t think anyone is going to try something as dumb anytime soon.
