Depressed Guy Texts Pasta Company Instead Of Help Line & Gets The Best Response From Them

No one is safe from depression.

It is an epidemic. Around 45,000 Americans die from depression every year, and that makes it the 10th most prolific killer of the people. We, as a society, are the reason why it is the way it is. We don’t understand, or choose not to, and when someone explains the awfulness and the ugliness that is depression to us, we choose to ignore it, or ask them to “get over it.”

It doesn’t work like that, and it’s only going to make matters worse for everyone involved. That’s why it brings me great joy to see someone handle someone else with depression with such care and grace that it gives me hope.

He messaged a pasta company for his troubles.

He messaged someone named Sarah.

And since she wasn’t allowed to talk about anything other than pasta, they had this conversation.

Sarah gave some sound advice.

And gave him the pick-me-up he needed.

She closed off with a reaffirmation that he isn’t alone.

People loved her for it.

They called to give her a raise.

Because she gave strangers something to look forward to, eased their struggles.

I wasn’t the only one who felt some hope for humanity after this.

This is more common than people think.

Kindness when asking for nothing in return is the purest kindness.

What did you think about her response?

Did you love it as much as we did? Do you have a similar story to share? Tell us down in the comments below!
