This Theory About Dany’s Betrayal On ‘Game Of Thrones’ Would Break All Our Hearts

Well, we had another episode of Game of Thrones.

You know what that means. Take out your tin foil hats, scroll up to some obscure reddits and tweets to get shocking fan theories that make a little too much sense to be disregarded. And this week’s theory is about how Missandei betrays Daenerys.

HBO || Game Of Thrones

Daenerys receives a prophecy in the House of the Undying in Qarth.

The prophecy states that she will be betrayed three times, one for blood, one for gold, and one for love. Mirri Maz Dur betrayed her, killed her unborn child to bring back Drago, so she did it for blood. Ser Jorah Mormont betrayed her and sold information to King Robert Baratheon, so he did it for gold.

All that’s left is to do it for love. And user Bisuboy has a theory about who this which is a reach, but still fits.

After all, Missandei is the Mother Of Dragons’ best friend.

It would devestate her if she betrayed her. Way back in Season 4, we had this touching, emotional moment when Dany said, “Never betray me”, and Missa replies, “Never.”

But what if it was foreshadowing instead of touching? And given her feelings for Grey Worm, it’s not unlikely that she would want to save him.

The thing is, Grey Worm is far from safe.

This is Game of Thrones. He’s leading an army. It’s a war. There are like, a thousand different ways he could die, meaningless or meaningful. Besides, he and Missandei just had a cutesy get together and finally hooked up. That is the exact opposite of reassuring, it’s giving me a semblance of hope only to take it away.
