We all continuously wish to improve ourselves with time.
Most of the times we aim to do the impossible, but once we think realistic with determination, we are bound to reach our goals.
Among all the things that we decide to improve, changing your body always remains the toughest challenge. Muscle gain, weight loss or toning up your body in any way requires so much of extensive training, commitment, planning and long term-hard work. But if you achieve your goal, nothing can make you feel better.
We have a story on a similar body transformation achievement by an Instagrammer named Lexi (@fatgirlfedup). She and her husband Danny Reed (@discoveringdanny) were 485 and 280 pounds respectively. According to Lexi, they were fed up with the life they were living, so they made a New Year’s resolution at the start of 2016 to hit the gym and start their weight loss journey.
With intense hard work and staying true to their aim, the couple together lost 392 pounds (Lexi with 303 and Danny 89). Under two years, the couple became relationship goals.
The before and after comparison posted on Instagram by Lexi tells a lot about their hard work.
When Lexi got engaged with Danny, she had such a horrible experience while shopping for her wedding dress.
“Nothing about shopping for a wedding dress at 485lbs was glamorous. Between not being able to find a dress to getting fitted for a bra – nobody knew how to treat a plus size bride. Nobody knew how to make me feel like a bride, and not my size. Thank god I was strong enough to know my worth, and kept searching for my 34W dress even though I questioned if I would ever find one.”
They wanted to lose weight primarily because they wanted to start a family by having kids while being healthy.
“We wanted to be parents in the future and live a long life together. We had no idea that in just over a year 6 months we would be a completely different couple.”
How she couldn’t be happy with herself even in selfies.
We hope that after reading their story, you will get a little inspired and have some resolution ready for yourself in the upcoming year. To know more about Lexi, you can follow her on her Instagram page @fatgirlfedup. Nothing is impossible!
