There’s a controversial comic going around about feminism and gender equality.

It takes the idea of gender equality and ridicules it. It was created by Nick Yaffe from CollegeHumour and it sparked a lot of controversy. One one side, you had people arguing that this defeated the purpose of feminism because it attacked “gender equality”. And that you were either feminist, or wrong. On the other side, people argued that this just showed the necessity of feminism and why it shouldn’t be demonised because of the popular, vocal feminists that have extremist views.

Starting with attacking men for what everyone’s ancestors did.

To politics and law.

And workplace sexual harassment.

To parodying anti-feminist values to only societal norms.

And the reactions were all over the place.

With people arguing for and against it.

I, for one, am glad that at least a conversation is being held at all.

People won’t come to a conclusion unless important discussions take place.

What do you think? Are you pro-feminist? Or anti-feminist? And why? Bonus points if you can do it without insulting someone.
