Christian Family Leaves A Nasty Note Instead of Tip For The Lesbian Server

Servers’ wages are minimal.

They aren’t even paid the federal minimum, and no one is trying to fix that. And it’s a strange thing from an outside perspective, because at every other entry level job, people are paid a consistent wage, and the produce is priced accordingly. But with the way America has this tips system, there will be servers who don’t get tipped, and miss out on payment, whereas others receive excess of their minimum. Which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s inconsistency means that servers don’t have the security and calm of paying the next bill.

So when one waiter isn’t tipped, people are understandably upset. For example, one woman from Illinois, who is a waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings in Rockport, named Samantha Heaton, didn’t get tipped because of her tattoo.

They also left a comment on the bill.

“Can’t tip someone who doesn’t love Jesus!” right next to “Bad tatoo” (spelt wrong).

In an interview with Rock River Times, Heaton stated:

“I went above and beyond for this couple, and for them to leave that (note) kind of hurt. Like, I have bills to pay too.

Someone asked me the other day if I would go back in time and get the same tattoo and I said, ‘No I would get it bigger,’

The kids are going to be under the impression that it will be OK to discriminate against anybody,”

It was posted on Facebook by one of Heaton’s coworkers, Joelle Nicole Maish.

And the comments were flooded with supportive messages.

People telling her to keep her chin up.

And more importantly, people telling her to be happy.

I would just like to say that being gay does NOT MEAN you don't believe in God or Jesus. And people who are "religious"…
