Girl Shared How Her Boyfriend Acts IRL Versus On Social Media, Others Joined And Called Their SO Out

Boyfriends on Social Media Vs In Reality

We all know how some guys are obsessed with keeping their image all “masculine,” “cold,” and “tough” in front of the world, even when they are none of that in reality. But some people have taken this to a point where not only are they deceiving the world but also themselves. I mean, I understand sometimes people wear social facades to act in certain ways with different people. But, I’m not so sure if the following even falls in that category.

You see, this one girl shared how her boyfriend acts with her IRL and in public, and it has honestly raised some serious questions. Olivia, a 20-year old college student at University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, while talking to Buzzfeed says:

My boyfriend is so affectionate and sappy 90% of the time, but his Instagram captions were so vague and bland, which I thought was a funny contrast to how he normally is.

Anyway, Olivia took to Twitter and shared this unusual scenario with the rest of the world. And it turns out; she’s not alone. Scroll on below and take a look at how Olivia’s story encouraged other girls to share their own experiences.

Here’s what she tweeted.

For better understanding, she shared some of his text messages along with how he captions pictures with her on Instagram.

Well, I don’t know about you, but that’s just straight up hypocrisy! Anyway, Olivia just decided to share it with everyone, and she jokingly said: “He’s the softest motherfucker I’ve ever met, but on Instagram, he’s like, ‘Me and a feral cat I found in the alleyway’ on his captions of us.”

But Olivia didn’t expect that other girls will relate to it too. Here’s what other girls posted.
